The Algarve week pack
One paid, one-time pack for one week of eating well on the Algarve: the town maps, the scripts in print, and — once the vetting is done — ten places that earned their way in. This page describes it honestly before it exists to buy.

What's in it
- The week, framed town by town. Which towns reward a lunch trip and why, where each one's tourist-facing strip runs, and the two-streets-back move mapped for Albufeira, Praia da Rocha, Faro, Vilamoura, Lagos and Olhão — the same geography as the free trap map, arranged as a week you can actually walk.
- The scripts, sized for a pocket. Weigh-and-confirm, decline the couvert, tap water, kitchen hours — in Portuguese, Spanish and English, in print you can put on the table.
- Ten host-vetted places. The part that takes longest, on purpose — see below for what "vetted" means and why no names are listed yet.
The ten places — structure first, names after vetting
No restaurant goes in this pack because of a star rating or a listicle. Each of the ten slots below is filled only after a real visit checks the pattern Quilo teaches: €/kg on the board, the scale where you can see it, the total confirmed before the grill. Until a place has passed that in person, its slot shows the pattern it must match — the slots below are the structure of the pack, not recommendations.
- Lagos, old town (two slots). Off the Praça Gil Eanes funnel streets: short menu, board in Portuguese first, fish weighed at the table.
- Portimão riverside, for Praia da Rocha stays (two slots). In the zona ribeirinha around the old fish market: sardines by the dose, a €/kg board that changed this morning.
- Olhão, back from the market halls (two slots). Close enough to buy what the boats landed; far enough from the Avenida 5 de Outubro terraces to price for regulars.
- Albufeira, the old town beyond the strip (one slot). Where the laminated photo menus stop and the lunch crowd speaks Portuguese.
- Faro, inside the walls or by the ria (one slot). A working-city kitchen that never needed to convert a passer-by.
- Vilamoura, outside the marina ring (one slot). The hardest slot on the coast, which is exactly why it gets vetted last.
- The wildcard (one slot). A fishing-village lunch worth the drive — earned the same way as the rest.
Every slot stays pattern-only until a visit fills it. If a slot cannot be filled honestly, the pack ships with the pattern and says so — no name is ever invented to round out a list.
Price, and what the money is for
£4.99–£7.99, one time. The final price lands in that range once the vetting is finished — the range is honest uncertainty, not a discount trick. The free dining pack stays free and complete: the week pack is for people who want the week arranged for them and the vetting done in person, not a paywall in front of anything Quilo already gives away.
Checkout is switched off: no payment provider is connected and this button does nothing. When it goes live, payment will happen on the provider's own hosted page — Quilo has no accounts and never sees card details, as the privacy page explains.
