How to calculate fish price per kilo
Multiply the price per kilogram by the raw weight in kilograms. If the weight is in grams, divide it by 1,000 first.
Example: 900 g at €58 per kg
900 g = 0.9 kg. At €58/kg, the fish costs 0.9 × €58 = €52.20. Shared by two people, that is €26.10 each for the fish.
Decimal prices work too: 750 g at €42.50/kg costs €31.88, rounded to cents. These are example prices; use the price on your restaurant’s board.
What if I do not know the weight?
